Corporate Social Responsibility (Bee Group)

Within her leadership at Bee Group, Eng. Widad has integrated social responsibility directly into the company’s operations, earning recognition from regional bodies.


  • Environmental Protection: Under her management, Bee Group became the first in Sudan to introduce LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) for vehicles. This initiative was driven by a commitment to environmental protection, reducing pollution caused by benzene-fueled cars.
  • Community Development Projects:
    • Al-Fayha Agricultural Project: This massive 100,000-feddan project in Sinar State was designed not just for profit but for "social economic development in the local community". It aims to reduce rural-urban migration by providing basic needs and infrastructure to local beneficiaries.
    • Vocational Training: The group has focused on creating stable jobs and providing training for local staff, viewing human resources as their "most valued asset".

Philanthropy & Social Entrepreneurship

Beyond Bee Group, Eng. Widad Yagoub Ibrahim Osman is a prominent figure in Sudanese civil society, known for establishing institutions that support the poor, women, and children.

  • Micro-finance for the Poor: She founded and chaired the Sudanese Family Bank (established 2008), the first bank in Sudan dedicated to micro-finance. It has funded thousands of families, helping them start small businesses and achieve financial independence.
  • Education in Conflict Zones: She established the "All for Education" organization in 2003. Through this initiative, she personally financed the construction of schools in the war-torn Darfur region, providing education to thousands of children who would otherwise have no access to schooling.
  • Peace & Child Welfare: 
    • Izza Peace Organization (1994): Founded to spread a culture of peace among women in war-affected areas of Sudan.
    • Child Development Foundation (2000): Established to provide vocational training and education for street children and adolescents.
  • Healthcare Improvements: As Chairwoman of the Omdurman Maternity Hospital, she led initiatives that reportedly reduced the mortality rate at the hospital by 86%.
